Darkling Productions, a UK film production company based in New York City specializing in documentary film for television, and film and video production for businesses and non-profit organizations is seeking a part-time summer intern.
This is an opportunity for a production, film or communications student wanting to break into the film industry while learning first hand about film and television production. You must have a thirst for knowledge and an active interest in documentary production. The selected candidate will gain valuable and insightful experience in production, independent filmmaking, how the industry operates and other film production services. You will report directly to the Director of Darkling Productions and be the main support to all company’s activities and execution of strategies for upcoming projects.
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, meet multiple deadlines, and work in a diverse and multicultural environment. In addition, candidate must be self motivated, a team player, have excellent communications skills – both verbal and written, highly organized and detail-oriented, must possess strong administrative skills and have knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office. In addition, candidate must agree to maintain a high level of professionalism and demonstrate confidentiality and diplomacy while engaged in projects.
